The daily practice of Vedanta does not mean constantly thinking, "I am Brahman," remaining detached from everyone around us, or trying to be happy all the time. Instead, Vedanta can profoundly transform the way we approach our families, work, responsibilities, difficulties, and spiritual lives. In this talk, Swami Tadatmananda presents three practical ways to integrate Vedanta into everyday life. First, we can recognize spiritual growth as our highest priority, while continuing to participate fully in worldly life. Second, we can practice honest self-inquiry by asking ourselves, "Why am I doing this?"—learning about our motivations and shortcomings without falling into harmful self-criticism. Finally, we can practice karma yoga by bringing a devotional attitude into everything we do, transforming even ordinary activities into opportunities for prayer and spiritual growth. The talk concludes with questions about detachment, enlightenment, freedom from suffering, and how even life's most mundane and unpleasant tasks can become part of one's spiritual practice. 0:00 Topic 37:38 Questions & Answers Swami Tadatmananda is a traditionally trained teacher of Advaita Vedanta, meditation, and Sanskrit.
