Takamura HATES Ippo's Comeback To Boxing

Takamura hated Ippo and does not want to see him come back to boxing after Ippo’s second loss in his professional career, and especially after Ippo retired. That little hatred Takamura carries toward Ippo has been there for over 600 chapters. It’s not just the typical Takamura being a selfish, egomaniacal , but rather genuine spite toward his gymmates, as he truly believes they are not worth training. That belief only grew stronger when Ippo became evidently weaker. Even during Ippo’s retirement, when he actually became stronger, Takamura was still actively against him becoming a pro boxer again. But once you start analyzing Takamura’s behavior and the more recent developments between him and Ippo, it becomes clear that he actually does want Ippo to come back.
