I’ve always been aware of Japan’s microcars from back in the late 70s to mid 80s, but I never really knew how they came to be, the history and why they vanished. Not until I saw a story Mark Riccioni from Top Gear did on a little museum in Wakayama, and decided that on our next trip down south I’d definitely need to visit. That’s how my most memorable experience on wheels came to be! I met with Hasegawa-san, the man behind the Wazuka Microcar Museum, to do a deep dive on these impossibly cool tiny cars and check out his collection of 9 vehicles.
