Erwin Park BRB Closing DORBA Group Ride

Erwin park in Mckinney, TX is closing for about a year starting August 10, 2026. This is video from a group ride and event hosted by DORBA where we discuss the upcoming changes to the park, the need for the community to let their voices be heard, and what to expect over the next year. New overlook tower New restrooms (one with showers) and converting septic to sanitary sewer New pavilions with electrical outlets New play equipment - swings and hammocks Adding a 10 ft. wide concrete trail on the inside of the park road loop Improved campsite utilities with water and electrical service Enhanced and widened park entry New park signage Resurfacing all park roads and parking lots with ADA-compliant improvements New maintenance barn There is a Parks and Rec. Board Meeting on 8/13/26 at the City Gall Council Chambers that we're asking the community to attend and speak out about the trail closure and changes.
