At 5am on 10 March 2026, an evidence leader opened a bank statement. By 6am the email had landed. By midday, businessman Suleiman Karim was in the witness chair at the Madlanga Commission with no explanation for R2.12 MILLION. Two payments — R1 million on 27 June 2024 and R1.12 million on 7 October 2024 — moved from his company Tasmika Construction into Medicare 24. Neither appeared in his sworn statement. Karim told the commission he never authorised them, and that someone inside his own office must have. Karim's testimony resumes on 16 April 2026. NOTE: Mr Karim has not been convicted of any offence.
