Chimpu, October 6: Chera Sisters of late Chera Rani have raised serious concerns over the circumstances surrounding her death and alleged that she was mu*dered, rather than dying by su*cide. Rani was found dead on October 2 inside her rented accommodation, with the family stating that she was found hanging from a window grill. Chera sisters have questioned the injuries they say were visible on her face and neck, claiming that the marks did not appear consistent with a normal hanging. According to the sisters, the accused said the door was allegedly locked from inside, but they say there were no visible signs of force on the door. The family has further questioned the alleged su*cide note, claiming that the handwriting does not match Rani’s, and has raised concerns over the absence of her college notebooks from the room. They also alleged that Rani had sent a voice message to her mother shortly before the incident, but that the message was later deleted. The sisters additionally claimed that another girl was allegedly involved with Rani’s boyfriend. Rani’s boyfriend is currently in police custody. The Chera sisters are demanding a thorough and impartial investigation to determine what actually happened and are calling for justice for Rani.
