Reporting is often treated as an administrative obligation. For cluster organisations, it is one of the strongest tools they have to prove impact, improve services and shape strategy. Cluster organisations sit at the centre of SME innovation, industrial competitiveness and regional economic development. As recipients of public funding, they answer to members, regions, national agencies, the European Commission and, increasingly, to investors, each with their own expectations and reporting formats. The difficulty is that cluster ecosystems are complex, and the outcomes that matter most, trust, collaboration and knowledge exchange, are the hardest to put into a number. The European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, organised the EU Clusters Talk "Making reporting work: Good practices in cluster data collection and reporting" to look at how this works in practice across Europe: how organisations collect information from their members, how they organise reporting processes internally, and how they respond to diverse stakeholder requirements without duplicating effort. The discussion also asked what it takes for reporting to become genuinely useful: as evidence of impact, as a basis for strategic decisions, as a way to sharpen member services, and as a language for engaging policymakers, partners and investors. 📅 9 September 2026, 08:30 to 10:00 CEST, online 🎙️ Speakers Anne Lebreton-Wolf, Founder, ALW Finance & Innovation Annie Renders, Head of Unit Cluster Policy and Strategic Relations, VLAIO, Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship Irena Łobocka, Cluster Manager, Sustainable Infrastructure Cluster Monika Antonowicz, Expert, Polish Agency for Enterprise Development Montserrat Daban Marín, Director of Strategy and Global Partnerships, BioCat About the EU Clusters Talks: a recurring online series bringing cluster managers, policymakers and experts together on the topics shaping Europe's cluster landscape, from industrial policy developments to the practicalities of running a cluster organisation. 👉 Explore the session page, the full EU Clusters Talks archive and upcoming dates: https://www.clustercollaboration.eu/e...
