The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is back in Britain for 2027 — but there’s one number that immediately stands out. The returning road-going H2 produces 200 PS, rising to 209 PS with Ram Air. The previous high-output H2 was rated at 243 PS with Ram Air — meaning the new bike is down 34 PS at peak. But this isn’t simply the old H2 with the power turned down. Kawasaki has substantially reworked its supercharged 998cc inline-four, including changes to the supercharger, intake, pistons, cylinder head, crankshaft, camshafts, throttle bodies, exhaust and gearing. In this episode of ThrottleWire News, we look at what has changed, why Kawasaki appears to be focusing more heavily on low and mid-range performance, and what else is new for the returning H2. We also cover: 209 PS with Ram Air 135 Nm at 8,500 rpm Brembo Hypure front brakes KYB AOS-II front suspension Öhlins TTX36 rear suspension 238 kg kerb weight 825 mm seat height 17-litre fuel tank Updated electronics and cockpit H2 Carbon and track-only H2R UK pricing and availability UK prices: Ninja H2 — £28,600 Ninja H2 Carbon — £31,350 Ninja H2R — £52,000 So what do you think? Has Kawasaki made the H2 more interesting by focusing on usable performance, or should an H2 always be about chasing the biggest possible number? Let us know in the comments.
