I believe, aside from the Reviewers Reel and portions of the German documentary, this is the highest quality footage of CARRIE on the Broadway stage that has ever been out there. Much care and time went into polishing up the picture and overhauling the audio. That isn't a replacement soundtrack. It's the original, cleaned up within an inch of its life. The revered Act One video of CARRIE was recorded by ensemble member Scott Wise with a camera secretly stationed on a tripod in the mezzanine of the Virginia Theatre. A dying battery prevented Act Two from being shot. Gratefully, with some minor differences, the second act was already filmed during the pre-Broadway try-out CARRIE enjoyed in Stratford-upon-Avon.
