Used for official ceremonies and the changing of the guard. Högvaktsterrassen (The Main Guard Terrace): A terrace next to the Royal Palace where the main guard is stationed. A great spot to watch the changing of the guard ceremonies. Storkyrkan (The Great Church): The main church of the Stockholm Diocese. Founded in the 13th century and known for its impressive interiors. Trångsund (Narrow Strait Street): A narrow street in Old Town leading to Storkyrkan. Famous for its historic buildings and atmosphere. Stortorget (The Great Square): The oldest square in Stockholm. Known for its historical significance and the building of the Swedish Academy. Kåkbrinken (Shack Slope Street): A historic street leading to Stortorget. Named after the old wooden houses (kåkar) that once stood there. Västerlånggatan (The Western Long Street): One of the main shopping streets in Old Town. Known for its shops, restaurants, and historical ambiance. Mynttorget (The Coin Square): A square near the parliament and the palace. Historically, it was a place where coins were minted. Stallbron (The Stable Bridge): A bridge over the Strömmen river, connecting the palace and parliament. The name relates to the royal stables that were once nearby. Sveriges riksdag (The Parliament Building): The building of the Swedish Parliament. Important legislative decisions are made here. Riksbron (The State Bridge): A bridge connecting the parliament with the rest of the city. Known for its views of government buildings. Strömgatan (The Stream Street): A street along the northern side of the Strömmen river. Famous for its picturesque views and proximity to key government buildings. Gustav Adolfs Torg (Gustav Adolf's Square): A square named after King Gustav Adolf. Home to many important buildings, including the Royal Opera. Kungliga Operan (The Royal Opera): The main opera house of Sweden. Built in the 18th century, known for its performances and architecture. Karl XII torg (Charles XII's Square): A square named after King Charles XII. Known for its monument to the king and historical significance.
