Is it worth the HYPE? Remo Powerstroke 77 Coated Snare Drum Head | Sound Check

Is the Remo Powerstroke 77 Coated snare drum head really worth all the hype? In this video, we're finding out! I've heard so much about this head – that it's the king of control, perfect for rock and metal, and built to take a beating. But talk is cheap, right? It's time for a proper sound check to see if the P77 truly delivers. The Remo Powerstroke 77 is a unique beast, featuring two plies of 7-mil film, a 7-mil inlay ring to reduce overtones, and a 5-mil clear center dot for added durability and attack. It's designed for a focused, powerful sound without a ton of unwanted ring. In this sound check, I'll be taking you through different tunings: Hear how the P77 sounds cranked up high, tuned low for a fat backbeat, and everywhere in between. If you're looking for a controlled, punchy snare sound and are tired of using external muffling like moongels or gaffer tape, this video is for you. Let's decide together if the Remo P77 is all hype or the real deal. What snare head are you using right now? Let me know in the comments below!
