Big Block Chevy 402 – Dyno Runs!!

We finally get the unknown 402 Big Block Chevy on the engine dyno! In the previous video, we went through this engine after it had been sitting for at least a couple of years. We know it's a 402 Big Block Chevy, but beyond that, we really don't know much about the combination or what's been done to it. After checking it over and getting it ready to run, it's time to put it under load and find out what we've actually got. In this video, we run the 402 on the JCM Motors engine dyno, work through the tuning, watch the AFR and other engine data, and see where it ends up for horsepower and torque. JCM Motors did not build or assemble this engine—it came to us for dyno testing and tuning. The engine is headed for a classic Chevy K5 Blazer once testing is complete. Sometimes you know every part inside an engine before it ever reaches the dyno. Other times, like this one, the dyno helps tell the story.
