The Kelpies 24 04 2026 on my mobility scooter with my dog Olly

I use my large class 3 mobility scooters (A Kymco Maxer) with my dog Olly to do the walk. I was planning on trying to go to the Kelpies from The Falkirk Wheel along the Forth & Clyde canal path instead of going by car but due to work being done on the canal and the canal path being diverted away from the work area around the canal I lost the path and signs. I went further than this point but not by much. There was supposed to be signs for an alternative route but I could not find them after a little while, so I just turned around and went back to the Falkirk Wheel then went to the Kelpies by car. When I got to The Kelpies I found that there was more than just the Kelpies there. There are eating venues and some canal boats. There is what is called the Helix Lagoon were there was small children’s boats, there was something that I had never seen before which was an area of ground that had holes in it which sprout water which you can stand on to keep cool on. There is also a nice nature path back near where I was parked. All of which you can see in the video.
