The Berner-Oberland-Bahn (short BOB) is a narrow-gauge railway in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. This meter-gauge line opened on July 1, 1890, and was electrified on March 17, 1914. It runs from Interlaken Ost via Zweilütschinen to Grindelwald (R61) and Lauterbrunnen (R62). Together with the Schynigen Platte-Bahn (SPB), the railway is part of Berner Oberland-Bahnen AG, a public limited company. Consequently, the official initials "BOB" apply to the company as a whole, including the SPB.
