What do Surah Al-Baqarah verses 116 and 117 teach about Allah’s absolute perfection, His ownership of the heavens and the earth, and His power to create?
In this Darsu-Tafseer lesson, Shaykh Sulaiman Hamzah Abu Ahmad (حفظه الله تعالى ورعاه) explains the meaning and lessons of these important verses:
Verse 116 rejects the claim that Allah has taken a son and affirms that everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to Him.
Verse 117 describes Allah as the Originator of the heavens and the earth and explains that when He decrees a matter, He only says to it “Be,” and it is.
