On 15 October 2026, at a SpaceX rocket test site in Texas, a Tesla drove upside down on a giant ramp, flew off it on cold-gas thrusters, rolled in mid-air — and landed on its wheels. Then it hit 60 mph in 0.81 seconds.
Yet the company that built it was once just hours away from running out of money, and it was founded by two men who had never built a car.
This is the full story of every Tesla — from the first electric cars of 1900, GM's crushed EV1 and the yellow tzero, through the 2008 Roadster and its laptop-cell battery, the Christmas Eve rescue of 2008, the Model S "skateboard", the Model X falcon wings, Model 3 "production hell" and the tent factory, the Giga Press, the Cybertruck's shattered window, Starman in space — all the way to the flying Roadster revealed in October 2026.
We rebuild the key cars in 3D, take them apart piece by piece, and recreate the 2026 reveal: the ramp, the suction fans, the thrusters and the kickflip.
