What You DON'T See on Game Day | 9-5-2026 HAWKEYE MARCHING BAND GAMEDAY VLOG

Game day doesn't always go the way you expect. This video is a simple snapshot of September 5th as the Hawkeye Marching Band navigated the difficult loss of one of our own, Derek Phillips. Throughout the following days, we saw bands from around the country pay tribute and show their support for Derek and the Hawkeye Marching Band family. There is nothing overly produced or dramatic about this video. It's simply the day as it happened — preparing, rehearsing, getting ready to perform, and experiencing the many moments that made this game day different. A snapshot in time. A day we won't forget.
