Special puller, no but it would have helped! I had all kinds of questions about cutlass bearings before starting this project. I figured that it really could not be that hard. It took some time, some patience, and a little bit a brute force! Ok, a lot of force. I did use a hammer many times, sometimes just to release my own frustrations. In the end I made a makeshift cutlass bearing puller from supplies at my local hardware store. Eventually i was able to remove the cutlass bearing and install a new one. Enjoy the show!!
