Were you ever curious about what Port Orleans Resort- Riverside has to offer for your stay? We provide a full walking tour of this resort located in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida!
Areas shown in the video include: Fulton's General Store, The River Roost, Boatwright's Dining Hall, The Riverside Mill Food Court, the arcade, the main pool located on Ol' Man Island, The Muddy Rivers Bar, The Fishing Hole, and sections of both types of buildings, Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend.
Fulton's general store is the first location to the left when entering the main doors of Port Orleans Resort- Riverside. It is a large location where you can find all of your desired Disney merchandise! This includes a range of souvenirs, as well as, snacks, toiletries for your room, other items you may have forgotten, such as swim suits or diapers, and even wine, beer, and alcohol (located behind the checkout desk).
Right next to Fulton's General Store is the River Roost, a full service bar and lounge. Yehaa Bob is famous as the performer on the piano. He adds comedy and music together for a wonderful show.
You can then use the walkway next to River Roost or walk through River Roost itself to get to Boatwright's Dining Hall. This is the main restaurant on property and advanced reservations are suggested in order to eat here. The decor of this restaurant is fitting for the Louisiana style theming of the resort. The walls are filled with old styled tools, while the entrance has a large skeletal hull of a fishing boat on the ceiling.
The quick service option is just past the restaurant. This location is called The Riverside Mill. It has a range of options to choose from, whether you are visiting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. There is also plenty of seating available. The Riverside Mill is the end of the building when traveling straight in from the main entrance of the resort.
Also shown in the video, is the arcade, which is located next to the check in area. The arcade features many different games for both kids and adults to enjoy. There are also massage chairs located in the arcade after a long day at the parks.
Next we take you outside, showing the map of the resort, and continuing to the main pool at Ol' Man Island. This pool has unique water features, along with a water slide. There is also a kiddie pool that is fifteen inches deep, great for young children, toddlers, and babies. This area also offers an outside shower, and of course, a hot tub! There is a park located by the back of the pool from the main entrance and a bar located right outside the fencing around the pool. This bar is called the Muddy Rivers Bar and offers a variety of drinks.
Past the Muddy Rivers Bar and towards the sections with the rooms, you will find The Fishing Hole, an area where you can go fishing. It is catch and release, but a fun activity to do at the resort if you enjoy to fish.
Located around Ol' Man Island is the different sections of the Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend. These are the areas where the rooms are. Each section does a have it's own smaller pool. Lifeguards are not provided at the smaller pools, just the main pool at Ol' Man Island.
We do want to note, there are multiple bus stop locations within the resort that will take you to the different Disney parks, as well as, parking along the Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend sections. This is a big resort, so this allows for quicker access to travel to where you need to be.
