Office Hours: Plan Design and Plan Comparison

In this Beyond the Basics office hours session hosted on October 15, 2024, CBPP’s Claire Heyison, and Arianna Anaya, who has been presenting for Beyond the Basics since 2021, were joined by Lynn Cowles, Health and Food Justice Programs Manager at Every Texan and former Navigator program manager. This session began with a brief review of core concepts about how health insurance plans work, the different types of cost-sharing charges, and approaches to evaluating and comparing marketplace plans. The remainder of the hour was dedicated to answering audience questions.
