What is SWiM (Synthesis Without Meta-Analysis), and why is it relevant to systematic literature reviews and evidence synthesis?
When a meta-analysis is not appropriate or feasible, systematic review findings may need to be synthesised using other methods. The SWiM reporting guideline helps researchers understand how to transparently report these synthesis methods and their findings.
In this video, we introduce SWiM and explain its relevance to Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), systematic reviews and healthcare research.
In this video, we discuss:

This video is useful for B.Pharm, M.Pharm and Pharm.D students, life sciences graduates, HEOR aspirants, systematic literature review researchers and professionals interested in evidence synthesis, HTA and pharmaceutical research.
Understanding SWiM can help you build foundational knowledge of systematic review reporting and the methods used to communicate research findings when statistical meta-analysis is not undertaken.
