Swans in Flight | Takeoffs, Landings & the Power of Their Wings

I have been mesmerized by swans from the very first moment I began filming them. Such beautiful birds, yet they can be so many things at once. There is the grace of their wings in flight-as if floating on air, the enormous power and thrust of takeoff, and then the peacefulness of a landing—as if they are walking on water. But everything can change in an instant when territory is at stake. The chase. The speed. The power. It is incredible to witness—and challenging to film. This film is a collection of those moments I've captured throughout the year. Some in focus, some out of focus—their quickness is often faster than I am.
