20+ Police Calls Before 6 Deaths: The Winfield, Kansas Case

Roughly 20–22 police contacts preceded the deaths of four children and both parents in Winfield, Kansas. What did those records show, and what questions remain about the response? Rapline News examines the timeline, the reported gun incidents, the family’s contact with Kansas DCF, and the agency’s explanation for declining reporters’ records requests. We also cover the KBI’s August 14 update: investigators said evidence indicated Ronald Williams and Kelly George jointly planned the killings. We distinguish that finding from allegations, unanswered questions, and the earliest account of the case. At the center of this story are four children: Carol, Ronald Jr., Sarah, and Kelly.
