Proverbs 28 and 29 for August 28 and 29, 2026

Read a Proverb a Day With Me!! And sometimes... TWO! Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. The Bible tells us that "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, " (Proverbs 9:10, ESV), and one of the simplest ways to grow in wisdom is to spend time in God's Word every day. Since there are 31 chapters in the book of Proverbs and most months have 31 days, we're going to read the Proverb that matches the day of the month. Day 1 → Proverbs 1 Day 2 → Proverbs 2 Day 15 → Proverbs 15 Day 31 → Proverbs 31 Then, when a new month begins, we'll start again with Proverbs 1. I'll generally be reading from the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Holy Bible, using the edition published by Crossway. My prayer is that these daily readings help us grow in wisdom, discernment, and our love for the Lord as we faithfully spend time in His Word together. As Proverbs reminds us: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." — Proverbs 3:5–6 (ESV) And James encourages us: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."-- James 1:5 (ESV) My hope is that this channel becomes a simple, consistent place where we can slow down, hear God's Word, and allow Him to shape our hearts day by day.
