Weather Forecast for Next 72 hours in Pakistan || Crop Reformer

Over the next 72 hours, Pakistan is expected to remain mostly dry and warm, but a weak westerly weather system will bring isolated to scattered rain, wind and thunderstorms mainly across upper parts of the country. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s latest outlook, the activity is expected particularly over upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and the upper catchments of major rivers. Flood Forecasting Division — FFD Lahore During the first 24 hours, the main focus will be on northern and upper regions, where isolated showers and thunderstorms may develop. Upper Punjab, Islamabad, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan have comparatively greater chances of rain, while most central and southern areas are likely to stay mainly dry. From the second day onward, the weather system may continue producing scattered rain and thunderstorms over the northern belt and upper Punjab. Farmers should remain alert to gusty winds and sudden thunderstorms, particularly where standing crops, harvested produce or agricultural machinery are exposed in open fields. During the third day, rain activity is expected to remain localized rather than becoming a widespread nationwide spell. The PMD's current weekly outlook indicates that the unsettled conditions associated with the weak westerly system may continue through September 29, while river flows are generally expected to remain within normal ranges; some increase in Ravi and Chenab flows is possible from September 27–29.
