Mario 4: A Space Odyssey (Sega Genesis Bootleg) - Extended Gameplay on AtGames Hardware

Remember when I tried to play the Mario 3 & Mario 4 Sega Genesis bootlegs by BMB on AtGames Genesis hardware and how well that turned out? Well, I decided to do it again, but with Mario 4: A Space Odyssey, because, I guess why not, I can't think of any other answer other than why not. To be honest, I love this bootleg, something about getting used to the weird physics and the random music, with the mismatch of graphics makes this a really fun experience for me, and I replayed this multiple times too! Playing it on the AtGames Sega Genesis on the other hand... not as much, if not, at all. Somehow, it makes Mario 4 even more unplayable! I mean, the slowdown, especially with it being random, makes some levels almost unplayable. It's especially bad with it on top of the weird physics, because most of the time with the slowdown happening, it was really hard to tell if I was trying to make a fast jump or not. Oh, but the slowdown when played in AV/TV mode ain't even the worst of it, because when it's played on the portable itself without the AV hookups, the slowdown is so bad, it is literally unplayable! Same goes for some of BMB's other games on the AtGames Genesis handheld actually, which is odd considering most of the Genesis' official library runs at pretty much normal speed on this portable, all while BMB chugs along. So yeah, overall, replaying this on an AtGames Genesis still didn't hold up well, at all. It may run better on the AtGames Sega Genesis console though, because ZC-Infinity's longplay on AtGames hardware doesn't have the slowdown issue from what I saw. This may not be the last time I'll play Mario 4: A Space Odyssey, but it certainly is on AtGames Genesis hardware for me.
