SINGAPORE SMOG EMERGENCY – World's Worst Air as Schools Shut Down (Latest Updates)

Singapore just recorded the worst air pollution in the world. IQAir data ranked the city-state the most polluted major city on Earth, with readings pushing into the "very unhealthy" range. The smoke is drifting in from wildfires burning hundreds of kilometres away in Indonesia. Malaysia has ordered a national school shutdown — closures across Johor, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and parts of Pahang. Hundreds of schools closed. Hundreds of thousands of students sent home. In this video, we cover the scale of the school closures, where the smoke comes from, how bad the air got, the 48-hour escalation, Indonesia's worst fire season since 2015, Singapore's haze crisis, the Formula One Grand Prix under threat, and the diplomatic response.
