Caligula - No Director's Cut? 2024 Alexander Tuschinski Interview.

Alexander Tuschinski: 2024 conversation on “Caligula”. Interview by Mike White. Since 2007, Alexander Tuschinski researched Tinto Brass' original intentions for Caligula. After discovering the raw footage and Tinto Brass' workprint of "Caligula" in 2016, Tuschinski planned to reconstruct a version of the film according to Tinto Brass' ideas, preferrably with the participation of Brass himself. In 2018, Tuschinski released the film "Mission: Caligula", presenting the plans. Here, for the first time since 2018, he recalls the story, including what happened after "Mission: Caligula", and why the project was ultimately not realised.
