It is home of more than 800 animals in 109 species and is operated by the National Trust for Nature Conservation. Although it was originally a private zoo and it was opened to the public in 1956. NOTE: Central Zoo of Kathmandu is opened every day10:00 Am to 05:00 Pm for Visitors.
