Verse 1 Born from the Titans, ancient and wise, Keeper of wheat beneath golden skies, Daughter of Cronus and Rhea's line, Blessing the fields with power divine. The earth would flourish wherever she walked, Rivers would sing and the olive trees talked, Guardian of harvest, of law and the land, Life would awaken at her command. Pre-Chorus But shadows rose from the depths below, A king of darkness stole her soul, And when her daughter was torn away, The light of summer began to fade. Chorus Demeter cries across the endless plains, Tears become storms and sorrow becomes chains, The grain turns black, the rivers run cold, A mother's fury no god can control. From fertile kingdoms to wastelands gray, The harvest dies when she's led astray, Hear the lament, hear the thunder roar, Demeter's curse forevermore. Verse 2 Persephone vanished into the night, Taken by Hades beyond mortal sight, Queen of the underworld, bound to his throne, Leaving her mother abandoned alone. Her grief consumed both heaven and earth, Silencing seasons and ending rebirth, The caretakers who failed her child Were changed into monsters by vengeance wild. Pre-Chorus The fields grew barren beneath her gaze, The forests withered in dying haze, And every prayer that the mortals gave Was lost among the crops she never saved. Bridge She was the giver of life and seed, The hand that answered every need, But love corrupted by loss and pain Turned golden fields into dust and rain. The gods looked on as the world decayed, Beneath the shadow her anguish made, Until the seasons found their way, Through the promise of Persephone's return each day. Final Chorus Demeter stands where the harvest sleeps, Counting the scars that eternity keeps, The earth remembers her endless cry, The reason the leaves must fade and die. When winter comes and the sunlight fades, Her sorrow echoes through empty glades, A goddess broken, yet still adored, Demeter's power forever restored. Outro Mother of harvest, queen of the grain, Bearer of blessings, bringer of pain, Between life and death her story remains, Demeter reigns... Demeter reigns.
