Ghazni, Afghanistan — The City That Changed Indian History 🇦🇫🇮🇳 In this video, I travel to Ghazni, one of Afghanistan’s most historically significant cities, to explore the story of Mahmud of Ghazni, the ruler of the Ghaznavid Empire whose campaigns into the Indian subcontinent became an important and controversial chapter of South Asian history. Standing in the historic places of Ghazni, I explore the rise of Mahmud of Ghazni, his rule and ambitions, his repeated military campaigns into the Indian subcontinent, and the wealth and treasures that were taken back to Ghazni from these expeditions. I also look at the historical accounts surrounding his attacks on Indian kingdoms and temples, including the famous campaign against Somnath, while trying to understand these events through a historical and documentary perspective rather than viewing them only through modern political or religious narratives. But this video is not only about a ruler from 1,000 years ago. I also explore modern-day Ghazni — its people, streets, culture, historical remains, and everyday life — to understand what this ancient city looks and feels like today. From the ruins and monuments of Ghazni to the stories of an empire that once stretched across parts of Afghanistan and the Indian subcontinent, this journey is an attempt to connect the Ghazni of the past with the Ghazni of today. 🎥 A documentary journey through history, forgotten stories, and modern Afghanistan. ⚠️ Disclaimer: This video is made for historical, educational, and documentary purposes. The events discussed occurred many centuries ago and should be understood within their historical context. This video does not promote hatred or hostility toward any religion, nationality, ethnicity, or community. #Ghazni #Afghanistan #MahmudOfGhazni #IndianHistory #AfghanistanHistory #GhaznavidEmpire #History #TravelDocumentary #AfghanistanTravel #indiahistory
