Alatreon Vs. Hammer - アルバトリオン ハンマー ソロ【MHP3】

Pretty cool run, my only regret is that I got spooked of going for more Golfswing punishes due to how much we were fighting in a corner Alatreon is one of the historically most fascinating Hammer matchups. If you're unfamiliar with it, after watching this video, I'm sure you'll conclude that in many ways the fight looks like it was entirely designed around Hammer. Alatreon holds its head up high, but beyond its turn-around animation, there is a quite a lot of openings that Hammer can exploit to land good blows on the head. I'm very happy that this run shows many of these ; positioning perfectly for some of these feels really damn good. Now if you're familiar with how Alatreon is in 3U onwards, you might find this version of it pretty tame in comparison. The way P3rd (and Tri I believe) Alatreon was designed, it's possible to prevent it from flying entirely by dealing enough damage to its horns when they glow white. This was changed in 3U, where he was eventually guaranteed to take flight regardless. Also, in 3U, it is only possible to flash Alatreon out of the air when it is not enraged. When I was younger and P3rd was my second MH game, I remember my gameplay against Alatreon being very basic, essentially only capitalising on its turn-around animation. Having learned its other openings now, this run feels like coming full circle. I hope you'll enjoy it!
