In this video, we start Chapter 13 "Two Variables, One Line" (Ganita Manjari Part 2, Class 9 NCERT new syllabus). We cover the full introduction, section 13.1 Linear Equations in Two Variables, and the complete solutions of Exercise 13.1, step by step.
📌 What you will learn:
✔ Radha at the fruit cart: turning a real situation into an equation (60x + 50y = 280)
✔ What is a linear equation in two variables?
✔ Standard form: ax + by + c = 0 (a and b not both zero)
✔ Removing fractions using the LCM
✔ Why ax + c = 0 is also a linear equation in two variables (b = 0)
✔ Example 1: writing equations in standard form and finding a, b, c
📝 Exercise 13.1 – Complete Solutions:
Q1 – Write an equation with a = 3, b = 0, c = −1/5
Q2 – Complete the table: standard form, coefficients and constant term
Q3 (i) – Notebook and pen: is Charlie (t = 2p) or Meera (p = 2t) correct?
Q3 (ii) – Cricket runs: is x + y = 176 a correct representation?
