2025 Genesis GV80 3.5T Prestige POV night drive, highway drive, launch control, 0-60 acceleration, exhaust sound, review.
If you're in the market for a luxury mid-size SUVs, you might have seen a Bentley-looking like SUV from a brand called Genesis. 2025 model year brings some styling and technology updates to the Genesis GV80, but the rest remains the same - the GV80 comes in 2 variants, classic SUV and SUV coupe, and sits on a rear-wheel drive platform.
Chassis-wise we get a multi-link suspension front and back. Passive, non-adaptive dampers are standard, and as an option you can get adaptive dampers, which besides the ability to go stiffer or softer, can prepare the chassis for impacts ahead of you, using GPS and camera. No air suspension option here, unlike in the German rivals.
We have 3 engine options:
2.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder making 300 hp
375 hp 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6
409 hp e-supercharged mild-hybrid using the twin-turbo V6 (Coupe only)
An 8-speed automatic transmission is your only option, as is a rear-biased AWD system, and the V6 model can be equipped with an e-LSD.
Other luxury mid-size SUVs to consider are a BMW X5, Lexus RX, Acura MDX, Lincoln Aviator, Volvo XC90, Lincoln Nautilus, Audi Q7, Lexus TX, BMW X7, Porsche Cayenne, or a Mercedes GLE.
