Originally composed as part of a commissioned work for the esteemed James Wilton Dance, Reflection evokes the emotional weight and dark atmosphere shared by metal and contemporary dance. With searing Middle Eastern-inspired leads and crushing grooves that recall Tool and Meshuggah, the piece moves forward with inexorable momentum. Jagged, syncopated riffs and siren-like ostinatos swirl around each other endlessly like whirling dancers lost in a hypnotic ritual or mantra. Over the course of repeated cycles, the music takes on a meditative quality, a sense of transcendence and inner peace within the turmoil and chaos.   All music composed and performed by Raphael Weinroth-Browne Engineered by Darren McGill at Union Sound Company in Toronto, Canada Additional engineering by Alexandra Teplyakova Mixed by Adam Noble Mastered by Robin Schmidt Video by Dark Fable Media This work was commissioned by James Wilton Dance
