Nurse’s Message to McDavid and Draisaitl, and the Oilers’ Answer.

Darnell Nurse shut down Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, and the Oilers still beat the Sharks 3-1. So what is the Sharks’ biggest problem? McDavid finished with one assist. Draisaitl had no points. In this video, I break down Nurse’s aggressive plan against his old teammates, his 21:56 of ice time and five shots on goal, and why Ekholm, Formenton, and Podkolzin decided the game. We also cover Macklin Celebrini’s start in San Jose, Nurse’s $9,250,000 cap hit, and what the Sharks still need to solve before their next game against Boston. Question for you: when these teams meet again on Jan. 13 in Edmonton, who wins? Comment below.
