Spending time getting to know Siri (Sigiriya)

This is the start of a little journal documenting Siri’s journey as we grow and learn together. 🐴 Siri is a 5-year-old OTTB (off-the-track Thoroughbred) who I recently purchased, with the goal of eventually becoming an eventing pair. For now, there’s no rush. Our focus is on building new muscles, developing her topline, improving her balance, and teaching her how to carry herself a little differently than she did as a racehorse. Racehorses are bred and trained to stretch out, move forward, and run. Event horses need to develop the strength, balance, and body control to carry themselves in a more collected way — and that takes time. Siri is a very sweet girl, and I’m excited to see how she develops as we figure all of this out together.
