Mark Razz WLUP Audition 1996 (scoped)

July 1996, I just released from Q104.3 in New York In September 1996, Chicago radio station WLUP-FM dropped its heavy "hot talk" format for a modern adult contemporary music mix, rebranding as Loop 97-9, Chicago's Rock Variety. This shift brought music back to the dial position after years of talk, though it reverted to straight rock a year later. I auditioned on November 12,1996. I didn't get the job. I knew in my heart that perhaps it wasn't the right fit for me. I enjoyed my night at the legendary mighty LOOP. Stole Dad's Playboy Gold Card in 1977; couldn't use it. Eddie Vedder is from Illinois; his wife (Beth) is from Lake Shore Drive. During the first few minutes, I was afraid I'd say the wrong radio station. WLUP is giving trips around the world.
