Abrid. Beautifully sung in Tarifit Tamazight (Northern Morocco).

It is a song about rapidly changing times, when there is no longer room for one another. Times when everyone is glued to their phone and focused on themselves, and no one cares about others or the future. Maryam sings wistfully of the past, of those beautiful, sweet days and the time when justice prevailed; she hopes that those beautiful times will return. "Abrid" means "road." The singer sings that she is on a long road. By this, she means that life has become harder, yet she remains hopeful about the beautiful side paths that lie ahead. This song is sung in Tarifit, the Tamazight language spoken primarily in northern Morocco. It is a beautiful, poetic language, so we will be uploading more songs in Tamazight that we have written ourselves.
