The Loar LM-110-BRB Honey Creek A-Style Mandolin, played by Ryan Jackson, a southwest Ohio mandolin player who plays with Mark Whitt and The True Bluegrass Band. Available at Banjo Warehouse in Yellow Springs, Ohio. Ryan says it has good volume, and he makes the point that you can't listen to a mandolin without finding out how its chop sounds. His words at 1:02: "It can bark, that's for sure." The Honey Creek has a hand-carved solid spruce top with maple back and sides on an A-style body with X bracing. The maple neck has a thin "V" profile, a padauk fretboard with 20 frets, a bone nut and a two-way adjustable truss rod. It has a compensated adjustable ebony bridge, nickel tuners with pearl buttons, ivoroid binding and a satin brownburst finish. 0:00 Ryan Jackson plays The Loar Honey Creek A-style 0:26 Volume 0:48 How its chop sounds 1:02 More playing See the full listing and all the photos here: https://banjowarehouse.com/product/th...
