ACR | 0.6 | Rally Events - Greece Loutraki Aghii Theodori Complete - Time Attack | TV & Onboard | 4K

Continuing my mission to collect all Gold medals in Assetto Corsa Rally v0.6 Rally Events, this time I headed back to Greece for the complete Loutraki - Aghii Theodori stage with the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. The run was not completely clean. I made two or three bigger mistakes, mainly in the final sectors where the tires became extremely hot and traction started to disappear. By the finish, the tire temperature indicator was glowing solid red. 🇬🇷 Back to Greece - Familiar Roads This stage was not completely new to me. I recently drove the Peugeot 206 WRC here during Time Attack, so I already had some experience with the road layout and the character of the stage. That definitely helped. The pacenotes are also very good here, which makes it easier to commit once the rhythm starts building. Still, the longer stage length creates another problem. Tire temperature. 🌡️ Tire Heat Becomes the Main Enemy The biggest issue developed progressively through the run. Early on, the Fabia felt good and the tires were working properly. But as the stage continued, temperatures kept climbing. By the final sectors, the tires were clearly overheating and traction had dropped significantly. That made corner exits much harder and contributed directly to several of the bigger mistakes late in the run. At the finish, the temperature indicator was completely red. 🛞 Can Setup Really Fix It? With the current implementation of the tire heat model in ACR, I am not convinced that normal setup changes can completely solve the problem. The obvious option would be switching to a harder tire compound. That could help control temperatures later in the stage. But then the opposite problem appears. The tires may simply be too cold during the opening sections. So the challenge becomes finding the least bad compromise. Too soft, and they overheat by the end. Too hard, and the opening part of the stage becomes difficult. 🚗 Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 - Strong but Tire Limited The Fabia itself feels very capable here. The car is stable, predictable and much easier to place accurately than some of the older rally cars I have been driving recently. The problem is not really the chassis. It is keeping the tires inside a usable operating window for the complete stage. Once temperatures go too far, the car loses the traction that makes the Rally2 package so effective. 🌍 P15 on the World Leaderboard Despite the mistakes and overheating tires, I completed the challenge on the first attempt. And to my surprise, the result was enough for P15 on the world leaderboard. The stage familiarity definitely helped, but I still did not expect the position to be that high considering how much grip disappeared near the end. The Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 felt strong early in the run, but by the final sectors the tires were simply too hot and traction started disappearing. That caused several mistakes and made the final part of the stage much harder than the beginning. A harder compound might help, but then the opening sectors could become a struggle with tires that are too cold. So for now, I am not convinced there is a perfect setup solution.
