A master who taught the masters, who then taught the masters. This footage is a window in time to when the genre wasn't as standardised. Players took liberties with the 12 bar form and phrased freely around it. The tempo fluctuates a lot. It's all about expression. In today's world, the online guitar "experts" would quickly brand this as "sloppy" and lacking in technical proficiency, however there's just something damn cool when the blues is played on an old beat up guitar in it's truest form with no desire to impress anyone. Just music at its most wholesome, man.
