‘The Challenge’ icon Sarah Rice, now a therapist, diagnoses Johnny Bananas: ‘Not a lot of growth’

Sarah Rice returned to 'The Challenge' for the first time in 10 years, entering “Trial by Combat” as a mercenary and losing to Tori Deal in “Balls In.” In this exclusive Gold Derby interview, the two-time champion and now-licensed therapist delivers a professional assessment of Johnny “Bananas” DeVenanzio, the partner who took their entire $275,000 prize on 'Rivals III': “Not a lot of growth with that one. Not a lot of change in 10 years.” Rice explains why she really walked away from the franchise, reacts to the idea that she was traumatized by what happened, breaks down what social media has done to reality TV stars, and reveals her most famous Instagram follower. The MTV icon also gets emotional recalling a fireside chat with Jordan Wiseley the night before they won 'Battle of the Exes II,' and names the greatest male and female Challengers of all time.
