"No Kings" Protesters Rally For Early Voting in March From Virginia to Washington DC | Trump | N18G

Protesters marched on Saturday (October 17) from the proposed site of the Trump administration's triumphal arch in Virginia into Washington DC during a "No Kings" rally aimed at calling for early voting ahead of November's midterm elections. The protest began in Arlington with a rally, and moved across the Arlington Memorial Bridge as demonstrators held signs and flags, marching along with music. The march ended on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, where protesters held a brief rally that included singing and dancing. In a slight departure from previous No Kings rallies, protesters focused their message on encouraging voters to cast their ballots before Election Day on November 3. Early voting began several weeks ago throughout the country. Opinion polls suggest Democrats will win the House of Representatives, while the Senate remains too close to call A demonstration concerning voting rights and democracy took place where participants gathered to voice their civic demands and express their opposition to corruption. Protesters gathered in the street, ensuring visibility to oncoming vehicles as they organised themselves along the route. Demonstrators took part in collective chants, raising their voices with the repeated call, 'Whose votes? Our votes,' alongside assertions that the thoroughfares belonged to the people with chants of 'Our streets.' Amid the assembly, participants were guided to maintain order and keep positions coordinated so movement remained unobstructed. The demonstration also incorporated vocal music, with attendees collectively singing lines from the song, 'This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine.' Speakers and participants raised questions focusing on democracy, civic participation, and the choices available at the ballot box. Demonstrators framed voting not merely as an option, but as both an essential right and an undeniable responsibility to be exercised by citizens. Criticism was directed at Donald Trump regarding his impact on the country, with participants urging collective public action against perceived administrative and political wrongdoing. Emphasising the authority held in the ballot, attendees underscored the importance of showing up to cast votes against corruption and defending fundamental democratic processes through active civic presence and organised public mobilisation. #usmidtermelections #trump #washingtondc #VotingRights #Democracy #CivicAction #Protest #VoterTurnout #CivilRights #Demonstration #ElectionIntegrity #StreetProtest #AntiCorruption #PublicMarch #Grassroots #CitizenAction #VoterPower #Elections #CivicResponsibility #USPolitics #VoterMobilization #DemocracyNow #OurVotes OC Clean 🔴CNBC TV18 LIVE TV: https://youtube.com/live/P857H4ej-MQ SUBSCRIBE to our Channel: https://bit.ly/3nvEcxf --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 👑 Check Out Top CNBC TV18 Playlist Videos: 🔹   • Young Turks Reloaded with Shereen Bhan   🔹   • CNBC TV18 Prime | Global Lens   🔹    • World News 2025 | Latest International News   🔹   • CNBC-TV18 Classics   🔹   • OVERDRIVE || CNBC TV18   🔹   • Startup Street   ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You can also connect with CNBC-TV18 News Online Catch the latest news: https://bit.ly/2YbpXBM Follow CNBC-TV18 round the clock: https://www.cnbctv18.com/live-tv/ Stay updated with all the market action in real time: https://www.cnbctv18.com/market-live/ You can also stay updated with all the latest news on-the-go with CNBC-TV18 Minis: https://www.cnbctv18.com/minis/ Like us on Facebook:   / cnbctv18india   Follow us on Twitter:   / cnbctv18news   Follow us on Instagram:   / cnbctv18india   Catch us on: Linkedin:   / cnbc-tv18   n18oc_business About CNBC-TV18: India's leading business news channel, CNBC-TV18 offers the most comprehensive coverage of businesses, the economy and the financial markets.
