Mk1 Yoyos - Onda

The Onda is the signature yoyo of Bernardo Peixoto, a Brazilian yoyoer who has been on the Mk1 team since 2022. Here's what he has to say about the Onda: The idea behind this yo-yo was to create something that feels comfortable in the hand while still feeling solid and powerful when thrown. A major part of the design process was finding the right balance between comfort, durability, and performance. I chose 7075 aluminum combined with Side Effects because I wanted this to be a yo-yo that you can carry with you wherever you go. This combination significantly improves its durability, allowing it to handle everyday use while maintaining a solid and reliable feel during play. The colors were inspired by fluid and dynamic themes found in nature and beyond — the ocean, lava, space, and air. Each theme explores movement, depth, and the way different elements flow and interact with their surroundings. Overall, the goal was to create a yo-yo that feels minimal and comfortable in your hand, but purposeful and robust in every throw.
