Astralis Have Failed Yet Again… | Snake & Banter (ft NER0)

Thorin and Mauisnake are joined by returning guest NER0, senior writer and statistical analyst at HLTV, and the show opens on Astralis: a Danish legend brand that now may not field a single Danish player, and nearly lost its major spot to a rule its own management seemingly did not read. NER0 argues the contract situation is the real tell, that the players chose to walk rather than re-sign, and that the near miss over a shared-player registration rule is a management failure rather than bad luck. Mauisnake breaks down why the incoming pieces look like a side grade at best, and Thorin argues that when you give up the national identity you have to win, and that Aurora is the template Astralis ignored. From there the show turns to Vitality winning a stacked group stage without their in-game leader, the "IGL hangover effect" that makes every new caller look brilliant for one tournament, and whether SunPayus has genuinely rebuilt himself or is riding a seven-map honeymoon. Plus: why Team Liquid's new core finally has role fit, whether a 17-year-old AWPer deserves patience or a deadline, NER0 making the case that this many big events a year is too many while Mauisnake points out viewership is at multi-year highs, Legacy's collapse after arT's illness, and a long look at the numbers behind donk's dropping floor.
