TOP TIPS:
1. Give each quail at least 1 square foot of floor space to prevent stress and pecking.
2. Use 1/2-inch hardware cloth — small enough to keep predators out and quails in.
3. A slide-out droppings tray makes daily cleaning fast and controls ammonia smell.
4. Keep the cage draft-free but well ventilated; stale air causes breathing problems.
5. Raise the cage off the ground to deter rats, snakes, and dampness.
