Developed by Oxford Digital Enterprises, and published by Electra Software in late 1988 for £19.99. I first played this game around 25 years ago, and recall it being half decent. There are 75 levels, with every 3rd level being either a boss or asteroids stage. Shooting a green enemy drops a capsule which can be collected for a power-up. These only last for the current level, unless the green enemy is shot last, whereby it carries through to the next level. The opening levels are good fun. Enemies need hitting once or twice and the challenge is nicely pitched. By level 35 or thereabouts each enemy needs hitting 6-7 times, although it feels closer to 100. They swoop relentlessly firing a stream of bullets. Your ship feels like a water pistol trying to destroy a tank battalion. The only realistic chance of survival is to bring a decent power-up from the previous level (3-way fire, rapid fire), otherwise it's hopeless. Control is by mouse, however movement is jerky and lining up with an enemy is difficult, especially when trying to avoid swooping enemies and their bullets. Joystick or keys can be used but speed of movement is restricted, which is an essential requirement! After level 75 the game restarts at level 40.
