Is your child suddenly hyperactive, emotional, impulsive, aggressive—or melting down over the smallest things?
Sometimes what looks like a behavior problem is actually a tired brain that has run out of resources for the day.
In this video, we’ll look at how sleep affects children’s developing brains, emotional regulation, attention and behavior—and why tired children don’t always LOOK tired.
We’ll also talk about:
• How much sleep babies, toddlers and preschoolers actually need
• Why having a regular bedtime doesn’t necessarily mean your child is getting enough sleep
• The “stress bucket” and why little things can trigger big reactions
• Screens and sleep
• Family schedules, work and late bedtimes
• Sleep challenges for children with ADHD, autism and sensory differences
• Heavy work and sensory strategies before bedtime
The goal isn’t to create a perfect bedtime routine. It’s to understand what YOUR child needs.
Sometimes what looks like a behavior problem is a child whose developing brain has simply run out of resources for the day.
