The Qur'an mentions: “The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.” — Qur'an 54:1 The authentic Sunnah also contains narrations describing this miracle. In the well-known narration of Anas ibn Malik رضي الله عنه, the people of Makkah asked Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for a sign, and the moon was seen split into two parts. The Prophet ﷺ pointed to it, and the people witnessed the sign. This miracle is known as Shaqq al-Qamar and is understood by mainstream Islamic scholarship as a real miracle granted by Allah ﷻ to His Messenger Muhammad ﷺ. The miracle itself was not performed by the Prophet ﷺ independently; rather, it occurred by the power and permission of Allah ﷻ as a sign supporting His Messenger ﷺ. ✨ 40 POWERFUL DUROOD IBRAHIM ﷺ Durood Ibrahim ﷺ is the Salawat recited in Salah during the sitting portion of the prayer.
